Blogging against alternative cancer treatments

Corinne Thos, Victim of Hamer’s German New Medicine, Dies at 41

In 2003, at 41, dance teacher Corinne Thos was diagnosed with breast cancer.

She underwent  a few cycles of chemotherapy, but then decided to stop all standard treatments on the advice of a psychotherapist who frequented her dance school and with whom she had become friendly. He convinced her to put her fate in the hands of the ‘Nouvelle Medécine’ – the French version of the German New Medicine of Ryke Geerd Hamer – which claims it can cure cancer without any form of standard treatment. Sadly, this proved fatal.

This was also the time when the lying started: Corinne told everyone that there was nothing wrong with her anymore and began to distance herself more and more from her family and others close to her.

The system of psychological manipulation inflicted on the victims of the new medicine is very effective and isolates them to such an extent that they seem to lose their free will altogether.

Two years later Corinne tells her family that she still had breast cancer and that it has spread to her bones, but that a proponent of the Nouvelle Medicine has repeatedly told her that it is perfectly normal that she has bone cancer and that ‘the holes will fill out again’.

True to the philosophy of the ‘new medicine’, Corinne tries to convince her family that everything is fine, but her condition worsens and soon she is no longer able to walk.

Two months later, on 23 November 2003, Corinne dies at home, leaving behind her 2-year-old daughter and her relatives, who were no longer on her mind as she embarked on her dark journey.

After her death, Corinne’s brother posts a video on YouTube in memory of his sister. He also posts a comment on a well-read French women’s forum, warning for the dangers of the Nouvelle Medicine

The video of Hamer victim Corinne Thos is no longer available. It has been removed from Youtube without the knowledge of the family member who posted it.

Translation of the video and the forum comment:

Why this great silence around the German New Medicine of dr Hamer?

Authorities, media, the silence is stifling for the friends and relatives of the victims of this theory. How many victims in France? In Europe? Who is behind this killing machine? A network of therapists belonging to what they call “new medicine” is developing in France, but also in neighbouring countries and has its origin in the theories of Ryke Geerd Hamer. Proponents of this ‘medecine nouvelle’  circle around the patients, envelop them, cling closer all the time pretending to love them, attach themselves like magnets, taking advantage of their distress, of their fear; then they begin to isolate them from their family and friends; often patients are people of financial means. A young mother was caught up in the nets of these charlatans. She died late 2005 in Rouen. Corinne Thos, aged 41.

GNM is now invading Latin America.

I just received advice to check out GNM, as I was recommended to see some “Drs” in PR about my blood cancer. I am highly skeptical, and thank the information that I am reading on this blog.

    Chers amies ,

    Jli, you arround?

I have been checking covert hypnosis and NLP for a bit; without a doubt you all may have noticed the personality changes and utter conviction of the patients. What do you think about this possible scenario? These guys are starting to creep me out, and trust me, it is hard to creep me.

It’s just a wild theory of course, but worth checking if you do have access to the proper documentation regarding NLP and covert hypnosis, I have been able to access only some data, and it seems solid enough.

I’m beggining to think this bunch is shadier than they seemed.

    Hi Ikaruga.
I am a pathologist, so if anything I am near changes personality I am running away as fast as I possibly can. I have no knowledge of NLP or covert hypnosis, so I really can’t help you out.

You could have colleagues, psychologist, psychiatrist, those in the know.

It does make sense, the patterns are there allright.

Completely isolated from their relatives and behaving differently than they have in their whole life? Check.

Disregarding their worsening condition and believing this is actually part of the healing process? Check.

Complete obsession with their therapy? Check.

This seems to happen to every victim of GNM, I do firmly believe they are being indoctrinated, belief fades away when self preservation kicks in, yet, this doesn’t seem to be happening here.

You can find more info on wikipedia I guess, but without practical examples such as I have witnessed it will not be of much use, save for understanding it a bit.

Nobody I know has any experience with it. If I understand you correctly, you are interested in medical research on the subject. I haven’t found anything that looks relevant, but if you want to have a go at it, I recommend http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?db=pubmed

Here’s an example on how it works, worth looking into, maybe they are doing this to their patients.
